Schuckman Realty Facilitates Its 20th Transaction with Lidl – and 6th in Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NY – March 2025 Schuckman Realty is pleased to announce that Lidl has signed a long-term lease for 26,568 square feet at 597 Grand Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The lease was executed with Lorimer Street Holdings LLC, represented by Yaakov Katz of Goose Property Management. This transaction marks Schuckman Realty’s 20th with Lidl and its 6th in Brooklyn, underscoring the firm’s leadership in grocery-anchored retail leasing across the New York metropolitan area.
Kenneth Schuckman, President of Schuckman Realty, and Jessica Vilmenay, Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, represented Lidl in this transaction. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in facilitating Lidl’s strategic expansion throughout the region.
The property at 597 Grand Street is a newly developed, mixed-use building featuring modern amenities and high visibility. Located between Leonard Street and Lorimer Street, it offers 55 feet of glass frontage, providing excellent exposure in the vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood. The site is well-served by public transportation, with the G and L trains accessible at the nearby Lorimer Street subway station, as well as multiple bus lines, enhancing accessibility for both customers and staff.
The building includes a private elevator to the basement level, which boasts high ceilings and two means of egress, making it suitable for various retail configurations.
Reflecting on this achievement, Kenneth Schuckman remarked, “This partnership with Lidl underscores their commitment to serving urban communities and showcases the strength of collaboration between experienced property owners and reputable operators. With 20 successful deals together, we’re honored to support Lidl’s expansion and bring quality retail options to Brooklyn residents.”
Yitzchok Katz’s Goose Property Management secured a substantial $108.5 million in financing from Apollo Global Management for its East Williamsburg rental property.
Katz’s firm secured the permanent financing for its 185-unit multifamily building.
